Dr. Bekerat obtained his PhD from Utah State University in Space Physics in 2006. After graduation, he was awarded a NASA postdoctoral fellowship at NASA GODDARD space flight center, where he investigated the auroral dynamics and its impact on the high latitude ionosphere. In 2010 he decided to make a career change to medical physics and joined the medical physics program at McGill University. He obtained his master’s degree in medical physics from McGill University in 2013. He completed his residency training in radiation oncology physics at the Jewish general hospital and McGill health center in 2016. He has been employed as medical physicists in the radiation Oncology department at the Jewish General Hospital since 2016.
