Bio
Dr. Song received a PhD degree in Medical Biophysics from the University of Western Ontario (now Western University), London, Canada, 2006, and completed a CAMPEP accredited medical physics residency training at the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, 2008. After completion of training, he joined the faculty at the University of California San Diego, San Diego, CA, 2008-2014, and at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada, 2014-2017, before joining as the Director of the Medical Physics Graduate Program at the Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA, 2017-Present. Dr Song’s research interests include intensity modulated brachytherapy, brachytherapy applicator development, robotics in radiotherapy, and MR guided radiotherapy.
